The Administrative Banner Invoice Processing Class trains users on the third step in the Mississippi State University Purchasing Cycle and is the last class in the series of training classes offered on the Finance system. This day and a half class (Day 1 ends at 3:00 pm and Day 2 ends at 12:00 pm) covers the steps and processes required to create, complete, and print an invoice (regular or direct pay) to authorize payment to a vendor in Administrative Banner. Users also learn how to use the forms involved in the process of tracking, approving or disapproving documents in the system along with an overview of the message form in Banner. A review of university and state policies for invoices is presented by a representative from Procurement & Contracts. Prerequisite: Completion of the Admin Banner Navigation and Financial Query Class and the Administrative Banner Requisitions Class

This class is offered to departmental users to train them on the steps and processes involved in keying leave in Administrative Banner from the Application for Leave Form as submitted by an employee or electronically via eForms. This is a two-part class. Part one begins with an overview of document retention and security presented by Internal Audit followed by leave policy overview presented by Human Resources Management. Users then work through a sample set of employees where they key leave requests for different leave codes and print leave reports using the appropriate process. Part two of the class is designed to provide a preview of creating an eForm and saving leave in Administrative Banner that has been entered by departments using eForms. This is not a hands-on session. Prerequisites: Completion of the Admin Banner Navigation and Financial Query Class.

This class is designed to give departmental users with little or no previous Banner experience a brief overview of Administrative Banner and how it is used at Mississippi State University. This introductory class offers users the opportunity to become acquainted with navigating through the system and learning some of the querying capabilities available. In addition, users learn how to set up a personal menu that they can utilize daily. The Banner page and form structure is covered including the review of several pages showing users how to obtain fund balances, budget and expenditure activity, vendor information, track the progress of a purchase, print departmental ledger reports and much more. Prerequisite: Admin Banner PROD account

A review of university and state policies for requisitions and procurement card usage is presented by representatives from Procurement & Contracts. Users also learn how to use the forms involved in the process of tracking, approving or disapproving documents in the system along with an overview of the message form in Banner. This class includes a requisition assignment that users must complete and submit to for approval before requisitions access is granted. Prerequisite: Completion of the Admin Banner Navigation and Financial Query Class

He is currently Professor of Psychology at the University of Virginia, where he has taught since 1992. Until about 2000, his research focused solely on the brain basis of learning and memory.
